Organization Mission: Restore, furnish, preserve and maintain
the historical house, including the Ruffner Log House located on
the property.
Facility: Craik-Patton House -
Historic house. Built in 1834 by James Craik, whose grandfather
was George Washington’s friend and personal physician. Colonel
George Patton, grandfather of the famous WWII general
purchased the house in 1858. Now owned by Craik-Patton Inc.
and sponsored by the National Society of the Colonial Dames of
America in the state of West Virginia.
Hours: April-October 10am-4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday, and by appointment
